Penetration sizing

Conlit fire collar

116 / 157mm inside / outside

Penetration sizing picks the bore and the fire-stopping product for one pipe. Shell or collar follow the outside diameter, the material and the building element. The result is one product and one core hole, not a fire-resistance calculation.

Conlit fire collar

116 / 157

mm inside / outside

Collar on the pipe, not as a shell in the bore. Annular gap around the pipe about 4 mm PE strip, the rest with mortar. Do not drill the collar outside diameter.

How it's calculated

Penetration sizing matches one pipe to a fire-stopping product and the bore that goes with it. Metal services get a Conlit shell or Missel insulation, and combustible or drainage pipes get a collar. The choice follows the outside diameter, the building element and whether the hole is already drilled. A fire-resistance time is not calculated. The product approval remains decisive, not this selection.

Worked example

SML DN 100, 110 mm outside, 200 mm wall: Conlit 150 U, Bore 180 mm, shell 110 × 35.

FAQ

Is this a usability approval?
No. The page matches stored product sizes. Installation and resistance are in the manufacturer's approval.
What if the hole is already drilled?
The existing bore is compared with the shell. A hole that is too large is not assigned to a smaller shell.
Why two products for plastic?
Plastic or cast-iron drainage is taken to a collar, and insulated metal pipes to a shell. The service decides.
Does the wall thickness need a value?
Yes, greater than zero. An empty thickness is not assumed to be zero millimetres.
